6.3.1 Primary Thelemic Texts
In hierological references, use a colon to separate chapter and verse, a comma followed by a space to separate verse references within the same chapter, and a semicolon followed by a space to separate references to different chapters or texts. The abbreviation for a book title does not have a subsequent period. Thus: Cor 1:8; 5:1–7, 10; AL 2:21.
Abbreviations for the other religious texts do not take periods and are not italicized. The same principle applies to established abbreviations for Thelemic and other primary religious or esoteric texts, unless a project style sheet specifies otherwise.
