5.1.3.4 Capitalization of Titles Not in English
For titles in languages other than English, use sentence-style capitalization unless the language requires another convention. In general, capitalize only the first word of the title or subtitle and any words that would normally be capitalized in a sentence.
Most languages capitalize proper nouns but not proper adjectives. German also capitalizes nouns, while Dutch capitalizes proper adjectives. When working with titles in a specific language, follow the normal title conventions for that language and consult the relevant section of this manual or CMS17, §6.1.3.7–9.
