5.4.1 Loeb Classical Library (Greek and Latin)

Works in the Loeb Classical Library are normally cited by the standard primary-source reference system, especially when the ancient work is well known. In most cases, give the citation parenthetically in the text rather than in a note. Use the Loeb volume information only when the edition, translation, or physical volume itself is relevant to the discussion.

See §5.1.3.6 for conventions on citing primary sources.
