5.2.25 Electronic Book
Books downloaded from a library, database, or bookseller may appear in several electronic formats, including PDFs and editions designed for e-readers such as Kindle, Apple Books, or Nook. If a PDF reproduces the print edition exactly, including stable pagination, no format designation is needed. For e-reader editions or other formats that do not reproduce the print edition exactly, identify the format consulted. The format statement follows the publication information.

For books consulted online, include a DOI when one is available. If there is no DOI, include a URL or the name of the database.
