For the names of deceased persons, follow the established form found in the Library of Congress Name Authority File whenever available. For major British and Commonwealth figures, the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography is a useful supplemental authority. Where no single authority is decisive, use the form most widely established in reputable scholarship and record the decision in the project style sheet.
